Hi I'm Jeff

Im a motocross racer, extreme sports enthusiast, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im currently serving a mission for the church in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida spanish speaking mission. I grew up in St. George, Utah and graduated from Snow Canyon High School. I went to Dixie State College for 3 semesters. After I finish up an associates degree at Dixie I would like to attend MMI to become a motorcycle technician and try to get on some kind of Motocross Team. I would like to be able to do that more on the side as a hobby so i could go to school at the same time and eventually get into some dental school to become an oral surgeon. Some of my interests include racing motocross, rock climbing, offroading, snowmobiling, graphic design, wakeboarding, snowboarding, boating, offroading, pretty much any extreme sport you can think of! I just love the rush of adrenaline that any extreme sport can give you.I love the outdoors! I love spending time in the mountains, making trips to the cabin, fishing, surfing, skimboarding and like to keep myself healthy by lifting weights and running. But overall i just like to hang with my friends and be there for them when they need me!

Why I am a Mormon

Why I'm mormon......... well lets just say that i've grown up in the church and taken it for granted. I lived off of my parents testimonies for the longest time until I was about 19. I would only go to church because I was forced to and would generaly get a guilt trip if i didn't go; sadly the only thing that this did was push me further away. It wasn't until I started making choices for myself that I began to notice the blessings withdraw that come from living the gospel. I never realized just how much the Gospel had blessed my life growing up until I had grown inactive in the church. That happy spirit that i had always had growing up began to fade away. The blessings began to cease. That was when I gained a testimony for myself and relized the mistake I had made falling away from the church. The gospel truly blesses the lives of us and our families. Everything that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints teaches just makes sense! If you think about the teachings logically everything just works out for our benefit. God really is all-knowing and he knows how we can be happiest in this life and the life to come. God loves us and wants to bless us, that is why we have the gospel on the earth today. The gospel is love, and that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly striving to better myself. Everyone makes mistakes, especially me on a daily basis, but rather than looking down on myself i do my best to learn from these experiences. I take these weaknesses that i have and work on them in an attempt to make them strengths. I know it's only through God and his son Jesus Christ that we can overcome these trials in our lives and make ourselves happy. I strengthen my faith by sharing my experiences with others to show them that if we have made mistakes in our own lives we can be at peace again. I express my love for them by sharing the gospel and showing them the path they can take to experience true happiness in their lives. This is what i do as a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I don't try to take anything away from others but rather show them how I've experienced true happiness in life. I invite them to give the gospel a try and experience the happiness that I have.
