Hi I'm Ryan Miggin

Serving a mission in the Georgia Macon Mission. Learning Spanish. Perfecting my "Southern Drawl". Mormon.

About Me

Recently graduated from high school in Davis County Utah, I am fairly new to the world. I spent a lot of time working as a high school janitor and at a pizza place to save money to serve a mission and to pay for college. My family and friends are most important to me, and I love spending time with them. After my mission, I plan to study Sales at Dixie State University, and learn to speak German, Spanish, and Tongan.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love it. I have found in my experiences and study that the Gospel of Jesus Christ, taught correctly as it is in this church, and combined with the power of God, has had an incredible affect on my life. I am who I am because of the Church's teachings, and I know those teachings will only guide me to be a better, more Christ-like person. I am a member of this church because I know it is what the Lord would have me do.

How I live my faith

I am currently showing my faith by serving a full time mission in southern Georgia, in the Georgia Macon Mission. As a part of my missionary assignment, I am learning Spanish to be able to preach to, and help, the Spanish speaking people of the area. I am constantly striving to become more like my Savior, Jesus Christ, by reading and pondering the scriptures, studying the words of modern prophets, and supplicating daily with my Heavenly Father, through prayer, for His help.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Ryan Miggin
The Atonement is the sufferings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He experienced every pain, anguish, worry, and sickness, so that he could know how to succor us. He paid the price for our sins; He took the punishment upon himself, so that He could ransom us. Because He did this, He can now offer us salvation on His terms-- that we come to Him with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, willing to follow Him. The Atonement on of the greatest blessings our Heavenly Father has given us, because it gives us triumph over death. Because of Jesus Christ's mortal nature, He died. Because of His divine nature, He was resurrected. He broke the bands of death, and by doing so, He made it possible for all of us to do so as well. The Atonement can help you in all circumstances. He knows what we have felt; He knows what you are thinking; He knows every pain and worry you experience. When we humble ourselves and ask our Heavenly Father for help, Jesus Christ can take and bear our burden. This is the atonement of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
