Hi I'm Scott

I am happy. I'm a missionary for this amazing church. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Scott and I grew up in the great city of Provo, Utah, and I absolutely love my life! I'm currently a missionary for the church serving in the Panama, Panama City mission. Before my mission I studied Business Education at Southern Utah University. With my schooling I aspire to teach business at the high school level. I think it will be a very rewarding and fulfilling career. I am very much into golf. My grandfather introduced me to the sport when I was very young and I've loved it ever since. I love the outdoors. Especially the mountains of Utah. Just standing out in the mountains reaffirms to me how amazing God really is. I love life, I love my family, and I love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

The happiness that comes from the fullness of this restored gospel is REMARKABLE! I rarely have bad days because I KNOW that this gospel is true! However I didn't always know the truthfulness of these things. Growing up in the church I always relied on my parents testimony and knowledge but never knew for myself. When I was a junior in high school I followed the counsel of Moroni and prayed to know if this gospel is true. I got my answer. Soon after saying "amen" I was filled with an overwhelming feeling of happiness. All my fears and doubts disappeared and the spirit witnessed to me the truthfulness of this AMAZING gospel. I know that this gospel is true. It has blessed my life in so many different ways. I know that Jesus Christ came to this earth and paid the ultimate price of death so I can live with Him again someday. I love my Savior with all my heart and I know He only wants me to succeed. I know the prophet Joseph Smith restored the gospel in these latter days and gave me the gift of the Book of Mormon to help me live righteously and endure to the end. I know president Monson is a prophet of God and he receives inspiration from my Heavenly Father to help me be the best I can be. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I truly love helping people. I try to serve at least five people per day. Whenever I reach this goal, I am filled with overwhelming happiness! Matthew 25:40 states, "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." I know that whenever I serve someone who is in need, the Lord is very pleased with me. And that is the best feeling in the whole world!

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Scott
The only way you can know if Mormonism is true is by asking your Heavenly Father through sincere prayer. Moroni 10:4-5 states, "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." That is the only way. I promise that if you pray to your Heavenly Father and ask if this is the true church on the Earth today, He will give you the answer that this is true. I have prayed and He has answered my prayers. I know without a doubt that this is the true church. The Lord loves you and only wants you to succeed and return to him. By praying to Him and asking Him if this is true, you are taking the first step to receiving the happiness that comes from this church. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
