Hi I'm Scott Nicholes

I treasure my Friends. I find strength in enthusiasm. I search for true Joy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Music has always been a love of my life. I feel closer to my Father in Heaven when I see others enjoy the Music I express. I love to play the piano, sing, and play the clarinet and oboe. My love of Theatre is woven into my personality and sight of the world around me. Making characters and telling stories on stage brings me such a specific Joy, and I've been blessed to connect with my audience off stage because of this Joy. I love the inventive and imaginative spirit, and am always looking around me asking myself, "What if..." I love my Friends and enjoy lifting each other up making awesome and meaningful memories. I love roller coasters and wish I could design one someday. Computer programming is a hobby of mine that I hope to master someday and make some spectacular game. Currently, I can barely juggle 4 balls. I am currently on leave from College and have been called to serve my Father in Heaven in the Missouri Independence Mission, and am enjoying receiving answers to long sought prayers about myself and who I really am. I'm looking forward to sharing with others how the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Faith and Repentance has blessed me in my life and how it is a guidepost and anchor in my life. I have built award winning robots and have participated in award winning choral, theatrical and instrumental music groups.

Why I am a Mormon

Having a testimony that my Father in Heaven has a plan for my personal Joy, fulfillment and happiness, and that I have been called and qualified to come to this earth and prepare to live with Him again by following unfailing truths established by a loving Father and exemplified by His only begotten son who sealed his own testimony by providing a way for my Eternal happiness has time and time again reaffirmed my faith in the true, authoritative and restored gospel of Jesus Christ. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the church established by Jesus Christ for me to return and to stand with my Father in Heaven again. I know that this is the only Church that I can make Eternal and sacred promises to my Father in Heaven to prove worthy to enter into His Kingdom. I have a testimony that my Heavenly Father wants me to return to Him. I know that Heavenly Father blesses me day by day by guiding me in His path. I know that blessings don't always come in the happiest of times, but are found in the saddest and most trying moments in our lives as well. I know that the true gospel of Jesus Christ heals us and draws us near as we realize the need of healing and nearness in our lives. This is a gospel of doing great a many things when we receive a blessing, not just basking in it. I know that my Family is forever and is sustained by Heavenly Father's loving kindness. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for me that I might know what to do in order to return to our Father in Heaven. I know that Thomas S. Monson has been called of God to act as His mouthpiece and to carry on His work and prepare the earth for the Second Coming. I know that Joseph Smith exercised patience, desire, and diligence in restoring God's true church upon the earth. The Book of Mormon is true doctrine of Christ and is mighty scripture prepared through sacrifice and wisdom. I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves me, and by strict obedience and humility he can live in me.

How I live my faith

I am the ward organist for a young single adult ward. I help others feel the Spirit by playing Music that is pleasing to the Lord. I help others through service by volunteering my time at homeless shelters, using my talents of Music at retirement Homes, helping members move in and out of their Homes, provide loving comfort and council through my enthusiasm, laughter and encouragement, and by striving to harbor peace in my Family. I administer the Sacrament and so follow Christ's example by serving others blessed bread and water to help them remember and renew their promises to their Heavenly Father. I tell others of the Joy that I derive from a personal and loving relationship with our Father in Heaven and share with them my testimony of His love for me and how it has helped me and blessed me in my life. I invite others to come unto Christ both in word and in deed.
