Hi I'm Taryn Haralson

I'm a traveler of the world, player of sports, lover of music and follower of Christ.

About Me

I'm currently a student up at Utah State University, studying Speech Language Pathology & Sign Language. I served as an 18 months mission in the St.George, Utah mission, as a French speaking Visitor Center missionary. Yes, French in Utah :) I absolutely love languages and cultures, so after learning French and ASL sometimes my mouth, brain and I guess even hands get confused.. but I hope to pick up more languages as life goes on. I'm also a competitive swimmer, but always count me in for any other sports event. I love to sing, usually with the radio, it makes me sound better, and play the piano. I also love to bake, I've made professional cakes and cupcakes for several years now! And of course, I’m a Mormon :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but I made the decision to continue to be active in it, especially after moving away from home. I'm Mormon because I know this is God's true church. I know this because I have read, studied and prayed about the Book of Mormon, and it's true! The Holy Ghost has helped me know that. I know this because of the peace, joy and blessings that I've received in my life. And I know anyone can learn and know the same things as I have as you put forth the effort and really desire to know.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the example of Jesus Christ. As I learn about him through scripture study, spiritual experiences and through the relationship I already have with him, I try to do and act as He would. I also live my faith by reading my scriptures daily, praying daily, attending church weekly, serving others--simply doing the things He has asked us to do and following the example he has set.
