Hi I'm Madison

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a full time mission in the Tennessee Knoxville Mission. It is the best experience I have ever had, although it sure isn't easy. I can feel myself growing daily and learning about people in a way I had never known. Before my mission, I loved to play golf and was fortunate to play on my high school team. I have run 5 half-marathons and plan to complete many more. I am the oldest of some amazing siblings and have parents who are loving and supportive in all of my crazy adventures. As a family, we have been on many vacations. I love to travel and hope to see more of the world throughout my life. We also loved to play volleyball at the park, have barbecues in the summer, and party during the holidays.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church is true, it is Christ's church with all the blessings he established when he was here. My Savior Jesus Christ makes eternal life possible for me. Every day of my life is a blessing from heaven, and this knowledge makes it a whole lot easier to handle the major challenges and stresses that come my way. Life is certainly not perfect, but knowing that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and wants to bless me is comforting beyond belief. I am never alone, even when I am away from my family or best friends. When I listen to the prophet and apostles speak, I know they are in direct communication with our Heavenly Father and know how to address the concerns people have in present times. The Book of Mormon is my favorite book to study. The wisdom and truth contained in it's pages are so applicable to my life and strengthen my basis for making big decisions in life. I know that keeping the commandments and participating in Christ's church is the ultimate way to find peace and happiness in this life.

How I live my faith

Since I turned 12, the temple has been a blessing in my life. I have been many times to the temple, where I feel the spirit and grow closer to my Heavenly Father. I have served in leadership positions in the youth program, participating on committees and planning activities. I consistently went to these youth activities every week. As a missionary, my faith has been tried even more, but I know that just a desire to believe is all it takes sometimes. God truly loves us and wants us to reach our full potential, which is what I try to teach people. Through honest prayer and lots of study, my testimony of the truth of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ has grown tremendously.
