Hi I'm Carol Stevenson

I'm a Mormon. I love the gospel. The best part of my life right now are my 6 kids, 9 grandchildren. I also make art dolls.

About Me

I grew up in California. My hobbies at the time included playing the piano, reading, and dancing. When I graduated from high school I obtained a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a music specialty. I got married soon after I graduated. My husband, Larry and I moved to southern California for 5 years and then were transferred to Utah. We have been married for 36 years. We have 6 children (3 boys and 3) girls and 9 grandchildren. Last year on our 35th anniversary we went to Disneyland and the Los Angeles temple with most of our family. The frosting on the cake in my life has been being a grandma. My hobbies include music, reading. dancing, making dolls, walking, sewing, and a variety of crafts.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. Until I was 5 we lived on the coast in Oregon. Our church meetings were held in our basement because our ward was so small. I learned a lot from my parents about the church when I was young. I have always loved the teachings and precepts of the gospel. The most important part of my beliefs have been my knowledge and love of the teachings of Jesus Christ. We moved to California when I was 5 and lived there until I went to college. Our lives were busy and we participated in a lot of the activities of our church, including sports, dance festivals, choral experiences, drama experiences and camping. The teachings of the gospel have helped us raise our 6 children. We have not been without some serious difficulties in our lives, but we have learned how to cope with life with faith and hope.

How I live my faith

I have been taught to pray, read the scriptures, and have faith in a Heavenly Fathers that knows me personally. I believe that my faith in Jesus Christ will help me through trials, difficulties, and the challenges of life. I believe that this life is a testing or schooling to see if we will remain faithful to what we know is true.
