Hi I'm Randy Pinder

I'm a father of 4. I'm a musician and lover of bluegrass music. I'm the son of a parent with dementia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho but have traveled all around the world. I love music and have a very musical family. I started playing guitar at age 13 and have never stopped. I write music and love to jam with close friends and family. I work for a large computer company but it's not glamorous work. But I'm very grateful to have a job that provides for my family. I married by best friend who I met on a blind date. She, along my 4 children, are the greatest things in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because of how it makes me feel. As I study from the Book of Mormon and hear from our living prophet and other church leaders, the Holy Ghost fills my soul and reaffirms what I believe. My belief started as a small seed when I was young, and over the years it has continued to grow. The more I study, and the more I live my faith, the more my conviction grows. I love serving in the Church, without pay, in order to build the kingdom on earth. Giving of my time and energy gives me a purpose on this earth and allows me to give something back to the Lord who has given me so much. Being Mormon makes me different from the rest of the world, and brings me joy and happiness that I might otherwise not have.

How I live my faith

I serve in the leadership of my ward as a member of the Bishopric. I love attending the meetings on Wednesdays with the youth ages 12-17. Recently we took a trip to the Twin Falls, Idaho LDS temple to do baptisms for the dead and it was a wonderful experience. I was able to go with two my children and see how being in the temple puts a light in their eyes. You can feel a special feeling from the Holy Ghost when you enter into such a sacred building.
