Hi I'm HeidiAnn

I'm a daughter, a sister, and a friend. I'm a recent university graduate in Nutrition Sciences and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nutrition Sciences, but am a teacher's aide who loves helping my fourth graders "get it." I am trying to make my niche in the world and find who I really want to be when I grow up. I like reading and writing. Singing and laughing are a daily activity. Walking through the beauty of the world clear my mind. I love baking and ice cream is my favorite treat. Chocolate, raspberries and fresh peaches are at the top of my taste buds' favorite things list. I love my family and am constantly blessed by my friends and their influences.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. It has been attested to me many times that I am not alone in the world, that I am loved, and that while I am nothing in the grand scheme of the universe, I am everything to my loving Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. And amazingly so is every one else. I know Christ atoned for me. He knows my heartaches, my pains, my sicknesses, my loves, my joys, my sorrows, my heart, and my deepest desires. He knows when I have a bad day or am disappointed and need a friend to confide in. He knows when I've made a mistake and waits patiently for me to let go of my pride and learn from that mistake and repent if needed. He wants me to be a better me and is there to help me become the best me (even if it takes multiple attempts to take a small step). I know prayers are answered (although not always in the way expected). I know there is a prophet on the earth today with whom the Lord communicates and that comforts me. I know the Book of Mormon is true and contains the word of God and a strong testimony of Christ - its words bless my life daily. I know my family can be forever, that I can be with those who have passed on again with those relationships still in place. I know it is true.

How I live my faith

People are important and I try to help them feel that way. I believe everyone has a story worth listening to. I am blessed to serve on a committee of women who get to deal with the physical and spiritual needs of the sisters through service and friendship. I love to share truths I have learned to be true.

What is the Book of Mormon?

HeidiAnn
The Book of Mormon is another testimony of Christ and His gospel. It is written by ancient prophets starting with Nephi who was the son of Lehi who fled with his family in about 600 BC after testifying of Christ and having his life threatened. The writing contain their prophecies, testimonies, trials, and blessings as they and the people of the Ancient Americas followed God's commandments. It was written to bring people unto Christ and is an addition to the bibles testimony. It explains the Atonement more fully, includes Christ's appearance in America after His Resurrection, and the teachings as well as ordinances and the fulfillment of Christ's Law. Show more Show less
