Hi I'm Britny.

I'm an artsy, outdoorsy girl who loves hippie vans and lots of ice cream. I talk a lot and of course I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm 22 years old. I've attended college at Dixie State and Weber State University. I love learning new things. I come from a family of 5, and my family means more to me than words can describe. I wouldn't be where I am today without my parents love and concern for me. I enjoy talking and being sarcastic. I love playing soccer, hiking, wake boarding, running, and anything outdoors. I'm really interested in art and how the mind works. I dig some good hippie tunes. I honestly just love my life. I'm happy. :) Go Lakers.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a family who attended the Mormon church weekly. My parents were always strong examples to me of what being followers of Christ means. Although I grew up in the church, I did stray away for a few years. I felt that I knew what I needed for myself, and that I didn't need the gospel in my life anymore. Living the gospel and then falling away from it truly took its toll on me. I was unhappy. My dad told me that I should try church out again and see if it would bring the peace back into my life that I was searching for. It's my testimony that the gospel brings so much happiness into our lives. Words can't describe how grateful I am to have the gospel back in my life. I love my Savior so much. I wouldn't be this happy without Him. I know that He knows what we go through daily. He knows our pains, weaknesses, heartaches, and guilt we carry with us. Through Him, all of those things can be eased or taken away. I've been able to witness this in my own life. I know my Savior lives. How grateful I am to have come back into the church. I promise that the church will bring happiness into anyones life who truly lives the principles it teaches. I'm grateful for the challenges that I've had, because I've seen the strength that I have. Life still has trials, but through Christ, it becomes so much easier.

How I live my faith

Since March 28, 2012, I have been on a mission for the church. I'm serving in Colorado and have seen so many blessings come since serving a full-time mission. I couldn't think of anything better I could be doing with my life at this time. I love reading the Book of Mormon daily and studying the words of the Prophets. My favorite thing to share with others is that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. So many don't understand that Jesus Christ is our best friend as long as we allow Him to be. Going to church weekly truly does renew me, and I look forward to attending. I think that the greatest way to allow others to see how much the gospel means is by living it and being an example to those around us. I know that there is a living prophet on the earth today, even Thomas S. Monson. The Book of Mormon truly is the word of God, and I know it was translated by the prophet Joseph Smith. I have a testimony of prayer. Heavenly Father hears us, and answers us when we are humble enough to truly seek His counsel in our lives. I know that we are children of God. I know that we can live with our families forever. I love being happy and that is what the gospel brings.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Britny.
The only way to really know of spiritual truths is through prayer. So, if you have a desire to know if the gospel taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true, you must pray. To receive an answer, the prayer must be sincere and with real intent. Ask Him the desires that are upon your heart. After you ask, wait, and ponder the feelings that come. I like to pray with a piece of paper and a pen so that I can write down the impressions that I feel. Once you receive an answer, act upon it. As you act upon the promptings you receive, God will continue to answer you and put His faith in you as His child. I know the church is true and I promise that you can also know of the truth through prayer! Show more Show less
