Hi I'm Taggart

I'm a obsessive basketball player, athlete, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some of my favorite things are basketball, baseball, soccer, and I love to do it with my family and friends. Every weekend someone is open, sports are our option. Basketball is my favorite. If I could, I would play basketball all my life 6 out of 7 days of the week. Not Sunday of course. I hope to be going to BYU basketball camp this June and also EFY. It's a blast! Also I love to wakeboard in the summer. I love trying hard things so that when I accomplish it, I get that grand feeling inside and wakeboarding is one of those things. I am the oldest child of three and have a hardworking mother who supports me in everything I do and gives me the confidence I need to try everything I have done. Also I have a grandma and grandpa that encourage my to raise my standards as I get older so that I am ready to enter college. I hope to go to BYU college in 5 years or North Carolina because those are my two favorite colleges. I am glad that I can be a mormon and I share the gospel with friends and people that I meet. I hope to go on a mission when I am ready to serve the lord with all my might and choose the right everyday to get closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and was baptized when I was eight. I see many of my family that are active in the church and have seen how much of a difference it has been in their lives. I've also seen the other side of not being active and have seen the challenges of how harsh their lives have been and so it was an easy decision for me to make. I know that this church is true and I know that miracles happen because I've seen them. I know that Prophet Thomas S. Monson teaches what God wants him to and that we should listen to him every conference. I hope to be as good as him someday so that I can return to heaven with God again.

How I live my faith

I study the gospel every night before I go to sleep. I read the Book of Mormon often and pray and I feel one step closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ every time I do these things. I am glad how blessed I am to have grown up in this church and couldn't imagine any world without it.

What is the priesthood?

Preistood to me is the highest power on earth and only through it can God show miracles. It gives boys who turn twelve the strongest power, even stronger than a king, to receive the greatest feelings on earth and share them with others who may not have it yet. When a young man turns eighteen, they are given the Melchizedek Preisthood which allows a person to bless and heal those who are sick if they have the faith to know that Heavenly Father can help them and it will allow them to have comfort from God until they are better. Those who recieve the Priesthood must follow him and obey his commandments and honor him with love, gentleness, and kindness. Show more Show less
