Hi I'm Kristine

I love travel, mountains, and peanut butter. But most of all I love being a wife and mother. I'm grateful to be a Mormon!

About Me

I am happily married to the most handsome man in the world and mother to a beautiful baby girl. I am passionate about teaching and learning new things. Besides raising a family, my life amibitions include becoming a master cook and traveling to as many new places as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received a witness from the Holy Ghost that this is the only true church on the face of the earth. I know that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God who restored the fullness of Christ's gospel to the earth. I know this not because I've ever met Joseph Smith but because I've received a witness from the Holy Ghost many times that has testified to me of his Divine calling. I know the Book of Mormon is true because I've studied it, prayed about it, and because I've tried out its teachings and they work. Because of the truths revealed to the Prophet Joseph Smith I know that Jesus Christ is literally the Son of God and that following Him is the only way to become truly happy and successful in life. I know that Thomas S. Monson is God's living prophet today, just like the ancient prophets such as Moses and Elijah were in their day. Last, I know that the heavens are open and God can speak to us through the Holy Ghost if we seek to hear His voice.

How I live my faith

Currently, I teach a rambunctious class of 3 year olds each Sunday. I teach them about Jesus, Heavenly Father, and the beautiful world they created for all of us. These sweet children are energetic and full of life, and I learn much from their innocence and purity. More importantly, I try to live my faith not just on Sundays, but every day whether I'm at home or at work. To me, this means being a disciple of Jesus Christ as a wife, mother, employee, and in every setting. Although I am very, very far from perfect and often feel inadequate, I love the Lord and want to become more like Him in what I think and how I act.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Temple work is not secret, it is sacred, meaning we treat it with the utmost reverence. As Latter-day Saints we would love nothing more than for everyone on earth to be able to come to the temple! However, because temples are literally the House of the Lord, each of us must first live a clean and pure life and promise to follow Jesus Christ through baptism before entering the temple.
