Hi I'm Becky Thomas

I grew up in the Southwest. I have a BA Degree in Education from SDSU. I'm a stay-at-home mom of 6 great kids! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I am Becky! I am a wife and a mother of 6 great kids (ages 17 to 6 months). I am a stay-at-home mom. I love reading, talking on the phone, playing with my kids, going places on the spur of the moment, going to the gym, and much much more. I have a degree in Elementary Education from San Diego Sate University, which I got while being a stay-at-home mom. I love to travel. I have visited around 30 different states and intend on seeing more in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born into the church is a blessing that I was privileged to have. As far back as I can remember I have known that the church is true. It is something that I have always known deep in my soul. despite this knowledge I chose to explore other avenues as a teenager, just to see what else was out there. None of it ever felt completely right to me. Due to some harsh trials in my life I chose to not go to church from the time I was 17 until I was 22. At which time, feeling overwhelmed by life, I knelt to pray fervently and ask my Heavenly Father what I was to do. About 30 minutes later I heard a knock on the door across the hall and opened mine because I knew the neighbor wasn't home. I asked the lady if I could help her. She then asked me if I knew of Becky.... I told her that was me. She introduced herself as my visiting teacher. I knew that was the answer to my prayer. Heavenly Father wanted me to go back to church. That was 15 years ago and I have been going ever since. I know this church is true. I know Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I am grateful to have the blessing and privilege to have the gospel in my life. I am not perfect and I still have trials and struggle but I know Jesus is there to hold me up during these times. I

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the examples I set in my life. I treat others as Jesus would have me treat them. I am kind and loving to all those around me. I serve in any callings in the church, that the Lord has seen fit to give me. I have taught the youth in primary, I have been a scout leader, a visiting teacher, and a Relief Society teacher in the church. Outside of the church and home I volunteer in the schools that my children go to and serve in any function that I am able. I hope that by the way I live my life people will be able to see how I serve Jesus Christ.
