Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have had diabetes for 18 years and i have Asberger's Syndrome. I enjoy writing fiction and drawing. I also like to sing. I absolutely love to hunt and take trips on the ATV. I am not currently in school, but am serving a mission in Oklahoma. I have a cousin and a friend who are also serving. We all are very excited.

Why I am a Mormon

I am LDS because i was born into it. But not only that. I am LDS because i believe all of our principles, our gospel teachings, and our scriptures are true. I know that our prophets are true messengers of the Lord, and that Joseph Smith did translate our scriptures from gold plates. I know that he did receive direction from the Lord to start the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that the Lord won`t give us any commandment unless it is for our own good.

How I live my faith

My calling in my Young Single Adult branch is to make the bulletin/sacrament program.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The Word of Wisdom is like a health code. It's similar to the food pyramid in that it includes all of the healthy things to eat. In the Word of Wisdom, we're asked to refrain from tobacco, coffe, tea, and illegal drugs; anything that will harm our body. In the scriptures, it says that our bodies are temples. So we must do all we can to keep our "temples" clean and pure from all outside impurities. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, they are not. For men, it is expected, but not required. For women, it is entirely voluntary. I am serving a mission because I wanted to. Serving a mission is one of the best ways to gain new experiences and build a stronger testimony. Show more Show less
