Hi I'm Tyler!

I love music, I love the water and all the marvelous sports that accompany it, I want to study the Heavens, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a nice area where water sports like swimming and water polo are quite a big deal. Only my immediate family members are members of the church, because my father converted before he met my mom, and had the amazing opportunity to baptize her. I love my family, I have two brothers, one sister. My only older sibling, my brother, passed away right before he turned 8 years old. Because of the eternal love and knowledge that I have in the church, I know that little children under 8 have Eternal Life, and that I will see my older brother once again! I grew up taking honors math and science classes in school, and I care a lot about music. I love to listen to, play, and write music. Most music that allows me remember Christ while I am listening pleases me. I like some upbeat country, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and a lot of Classical. I am really into drawing too; I see drawing and Art as a way to use the gifts that Heavenly Father has given us, and a way to show him that we love him.

Why I am a Mormon

My whole life, I grew up in the church. We always had loving parents who loved and guided us toward our Savior Jesus Christ. However, there is a difference in my story. First of all, no one outside my immediate family is a member of the Church. I grew up without extended family that I could see all the time and go to church with because none of them lived by me, or were members. Secondly, my older brother died when I was just a baby. He died when he was 7 years old, by cause of a car crash. Because of the wonderful plan of salvation that our loving Heavenly Father has created for us, I am comforted by the fact that I know that children under the age of accountability are alive in Christ, and live with Heavenly Father in His presence. Another blessing that I receive through this is that I have the knowledge that I will see him again, and I have a goal to live worthy enough to be able to live with my brother forever! I am privileged to know that my Heavenly Father loves me, guides my life, and wants to bless the lives of others through me. Why should I want to keep him from doing that?

How I live my faith

I was a Boy Scout, and am now an Eagle Scout. Any person familiar with scouting knows what that means. For the majority of those who do not, that means a lot of community service and helping others. I live the gospel, I do not practice it. Practicing makes it seem like I am "preparing for a game" on Sunday, and then I am done until next week. I live the gospel, by trying to help people everyday. Jesus Christ is the perfect example to follow if you want to live with Heavenly Father, so I try my hardest to change myself daily to become more like Him! Jesus himself taught us that the commandment to love one another as He has loved us is one of the most important commandments that there are. For this reason, I try not to judge other people and to love everyone, regardless of what happens to me. I believe that in loving other people, we learn to love ourselves just as much.
