Hi I'm Ashley Gephart

I'm an author, editor, and designer. I'm the sister of an autistic brother. I am a geek and a bookworm. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an author, amateur stage actress, and editor. I graduated from Utah Valley University with a degree in English and a minor in Theatre Arts. Now I edit cookbooks and children's fiction for a publishing company, and spend my free time writing and obsessing over superheroes. The company I work for focuses in part on LDS fiction and nonfiction. It's interesting to see how both sides are connected and separate at the same time. I enjoy shaping and promoting literature that I feel will help change and improve the lives of authors as well as people I'll never meet.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have had undeniable feelings that this is the true church of Jesus Christ here on the earth today. I have heard the voice of prophets and I know that they are guided by the Spirit. Also, I know that we in turn can have that holy guidance with us each day.

How I live my faith

I serve my ward as an online missionary. This means I use the marketing skills I've learned as an editor and author to reach out on social media and share inspirational moments, quotes, and other media that might make someone think, brighten a friend's day, or help them feel closer to God and Christ.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Ashley Gephart
When I appreciate the beauty of the earth, or even of the infinite details in a work of art, I know that there is a God. Each part of this fantastically beautiful sky is His for our enjoyment. Even looking at my hands and knowing all their potential down to the complexity of muscles and bones, I know that they came through a divine creation. Nothing can come about except by him. He inspires us in our doings. All the good that happens to us is his doing. He allows trials to happen because it strengthens us. If we had no hard times to overcome, we would be like children forever, never progressing, never learning. I have gone through these sorts of hard times, and the part that keeps me going is the knowledge that I have a Father in Heaven who will take my hand and carry me through them. Show more Show less
