Hi I'm Josh

I grew up as a Marine Brat. I love sports, art, and fantasy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a home where I moved every three years. My dad was a helicopter pilot in the US Marine Corps for 23 years, so I got used to the nomadic lifestyle. Actually I've pretty much come to love it; I can hardly stay in one place for too long. I've started my college "career", but I've only completed one semester. I love playing sports. I've played multiple sports growing up, and have become really partial to running hurldes for track. (Though hockey is my favorite sport to play). During high school I did cross country and track, and was on varsity a number of times. I love physical activity and being in shape. Yet on the flip side I also love fantasy and medieval history, gaming and all that. I'm a healthy mix of both. I guess you'd call me a hybrid between a jock and a geek. :P I'm currently serving a mission in Cambodia, Vietnamese speaking.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the the Church. Raised with the whole lifestyle and feel of being Mormon. All the time I got a lot of flack for being one during high school, but I didn't really care all that much, because I got to explain what I believe. Actually, some have commented that being born into the church just makes you be a mormon. Well, I can honestly say that at one point in my life, I thought to myself: "Well either you believe, or you don't". And so over time I came to see how the church, and more importantly God, has helped me throughout my life. He's gotten me through some hard times, and I know that I can't turn my back on Him, nor his Church. The Church has given me great joy, and thats why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I make sure that I participate in service, and whenever someone needs help with something, whether it be physical or emotional, I try to help them out. Or I just try and be nice and polite to others.

Are Mormons Christians?

Josh
Absolutly! We are indeed Christians. The Church's offical name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Its a bit long, isn't it? Haha! But, yes, we do believe in Jesus Christ, and that he atoned for our sins. We believe that he is our Savior. We read the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon, as they both have the teachings of Christ in them. They both testify of Christ. Show more Show less
