Hi I'm Steph

I love folk music, jazz dance, traveling, Italian food, and cats. I am so grateful for my wonderful family and life!

About Me

Where to begin? I've lived in six different states over the past 3.5 years and have had to plant myself within communities rather quickly. I guess you could call me a radish! I LOVE PERFORMING ART. For three years I was the lead singer in college and community folk groups and had the opportunity to tour the great United States with them. I play the guitar and love to sing with harmonies. I also find great release in writing and arranging songs and have my first CD coming out this year! I LOVE dancing and taught Jazz at a university. My husband and I enjoy traveling and getting to know other cultures (which is why we're happy with this job he has). I take any job I can find in our transient life. My life aspirations include making a children's CD, traveling to all the continents, owning a music and dance studio, and being a mother.

Why I am a Mormon

At first, I was a Mormon because the rest of my family was. I never thought the practices or standards I held were bad or weird, I just didn't know why I did it. At times I thought I was Mormon because others I grew up with thought it was cool that I was one. By the time I was around twelve, my sunday school teacher challenged the class to individually read the whole Book of Mormon. I agreed to try it and learned a lot through all the "thee's" and "thou's." Through reading the book and taking Moroni's challenge, I received a testimony of Christ's visit to the Americas, Joseph Smith, the Atonement, and the Book of Mormon. Since then, I make efforts to nurture that small "testimony" seed through prayer, scripture study, temple attendance, tithing, and weekly church meetings. These simple steps provide me with countless blessings that many times I don't even realize.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best version of myself every day. I strive to follow church doctrine taught to me during church or through divine inspiration. I remember to never suppress and unkind thought and realize that I can make the difference of someone's day through something as simple as a smile. I believe that when I listen and then explain my own personal beliefs, I want to practice what I preach. I truly believe that music conveys universal truths and one of those is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
