Hi I'm Erick

I'm a descendent of pioneer ancestors. I'm a computer engineer. I love to participate in musical theater. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in several cities and states as my father was transferred often with his work. I have 4 brothers and 4 sisters. I am married and have two adult daughters, one of whom is married and has a daughter of her own, and the other who is soon to be married. I am a computer engineer, and work designing chips that are used in computing devices. I love to sing, and particularly love to participate in musical theater. Some of my favorite roles have been Tevye in "Fiddler on the Roof," and Emile in "South Pacific." I have also worked as the music director for many musicals, including directing the pit orchestra. I am a big baseball fan, and my favorite team is the San Francisco Giants. I love to travel, especially to Disneyland or Walt Disney World.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, and have many pioneer ancestors on both sides of my family. The Church has always been a part of my life, and I have always felt that this was a great blessing. While I have always tried to keep the commandments and follow the teachings of the prophets and the scriptures, I have made mistakes, and have learned that true joy and happiness comes through obedience to the will of our Heavenly Father. I know that we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father, and that His commandments are simply His way of passing on His knowledge of the way to happiness. I am very thankful that He has created a plan whereby we can return to live with Him again, and with our families.

How I live my faith

My faith affects my attitude in all that I do. At work, it helps me keep things in perspective, and to have a positive attitude with my co-workers. At home, it helps me recognize the potential of my children and my wife and helps me know what I can do to help them reach that potential. I've had many opportunities to serve in the Church, helping other members realize all the blessings that come from living the gospel. Due to my love of music, I've enjoyed serving as my ward choir director on several occasions. I've also had the opportunity to help produce several musical theater productions about the Savior in our stake.
