Hi I'm Rod

I live in California. I have been a Mormon for 25 years.

About Me

My wife and I enjoy an active healthy life style. We have two adult sons. We enjoy taking our dogs on long walks in the foothills around our home or to the beach. I enjoy hiking, back packing, camping. Love to go camping in my 1971 Volkwagon camper, which means I enjoy working on cars (right). I am comfortable in a wood shop (mill) or metal/machine shop, love to weld and build things. Just a handy guy around the house.

Why I am a Mormon

The first thing that attracted my wife and I to the LDS Church was strong families values. Family night on Monday night, dinner together at the table every night. Worship together on Sunday. As I have grown in the Church I developed a strong testimony of Prophets (past and present) and of the Word of Wisdom. Healthy eating habits are very important to a happy and healthy life.

How I live my faith

Through Church activity I have been exposed to many fun outdoor activities. Volunteering at the Churches girls camp gave me the oppurtunity to learn and teach team building activities, rock climbing, rappling. Working with Boy Scouts lot's back packing and camping skills.
