Hi I'm John Jones

And I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Salt Lake City and am now serving a 2 year mission in San Antonio Texas. Pleased to meet you.

About Me

Hi! I am John Savage Jones, proud resident of Salt lake city Utah-well, until recently. I am on a MISSION in San Antonio Texas! I like it a lot. I enjoy Skiing, reading, rock climbing, scuba diving and playing with my two dogs. Making others laugh and spur of the moment ideas to do it is my specialty. I find fulfillment and joy in life while I am with the people I love. I like vedeo games, and Real Life is the greatest video game I've ever played. It's also multiplayer! In fact I'm playing it right now. I haven't always been ripped, incredibly smart or extremely good looking, just in case you were wondering. I have a real soft spot for dogs. I have a knack for milkshakes. And I've been thinking of joining the AirForce when I get home. And I think Utah has the best snow on earth. If I could live anywhere it would be Utah. Utah in an FJ cruiser; Oh, that's the life for me. I also hope to invent something that ACTUALLY makes it snow candy bars and milkshakes. My favorite color is brown And I stink at math, but love to write.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and raised to be a missionary by my Family. I hold my family to be the most important and precious treasure I have in life, which is in context of what being a mormon is. Second, I have gained a testimony for myself that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet- things that can only be reavealed through revelation of the Holy Ghost, the messenger of God. Being a Mormon is more to me than a belief or a way to relate me with others. It is a way of life, and the only way to achieve the greatest happiness here in this life and the afterlife. I want to be happy and to have peace, so I live the principles of the Gospel. This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Missionaries willingly give two years, from age 19 to 21 and pay money to serve missions. The reason I am serving a mission is because I want to share what I know about the gospel and the happiness it has brought me. I love to serve others and to make others happy, and what better way than to help them realize that God loves us, blesses us and provides a way for us to be happy?
