Hi I'm Chris

I'm a Mormon. I work in sales. I ride dirtbikes and love to hunt.

About Me

I am 46, married to my best friend and the father of 4 wonderful kids. My wife and I struggle like most parents to help our kids grow strong in a challenging time. I work, play, eat, pray, sleep and put my pants on just like most folks I know. I just happen to see the universe more clearly now that my faith is amplified by the teachings of humble men like Jacob, Nephi, Mosiah and Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I asked the Father in the name of the Son if the things taught to me by members of the LDS church were true to His will. I sought truth and light I needed in order to better understand Him and His intent for me. I received an answer and do my best to show my humble thanks by living as best as I can in a way that says, "Thank you for the gospel, the atonement wrought by Your Son, and for the sweet waves of love and joy that come with being baptised by water and fire! I asked, He answered, and I choose to be LDS based on that.

How I live my faith

One day at a time.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Some folks mistake our devotion to the Savior Jesus Christ for a blind devotion to his human messengers. Because the record of the lives and purported shortcomings of our past leadership can really be used to highlight their human weakness against the popular conception that prophets are above displaying human flaws, many assume we have been lead astray by unworthy shepherds. Interestingly, Paul of Tarsus was a much flawed servant of the Lord. He had to deal with the same things, and I imagine folks mistook the faithful followers of Christ brought into the fold by his ministry as cultist followers of Paul, rather than the children of God brought to the light by the efforts of one of his saved children.
