Hi I'm Mike

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Idaho in a wonderful Mormon family. I have a wonderful wife, 5 great children and 18 grandchildren.

About Me

I enjoy outdoor activities. Playing with my 18 grandchildren. I have Genealogy and Family History as a hobby. I served as missionary in Hamburg, Germany. I married my wonderful wife 48 years ago. We are as much in love today as when we got married. I recently retired from working as an aerospace engineer. I lived with wonderful family and worked in Utah, Texas, Arizona, and California. I also served in the Army National Guard for 20+ year. Family History, Indexing, and Temple work has always been my passion more most of my adult life. My wonderful wife and I have recently served as ordinance workers in the Gilbert Arizona temple. We enjoy family history work and helping other learn about. We both enjoy converting genealogical images to digitized records that can be searched by others.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family but I developed a strong personal belief in God and Jesus Christ through reading the word of God found in the Bible, The Book of Mormon and modern scriptures revealed though our living prophets. I know Joseph Smith was chosen by God and Jesus Christ to be prophet. I was taught about our Savior and His gospel by loving parents and youth leaders. At the age of 19, I left home and traveled to Germany to serve as missionary. I loved to help others increase their faith in Jesus Christ and experience the blessings of Eternal Life with our families and loved ones. I know that the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) is true and provides joy in this life and in the life hereafter.

How I live my faith

I live my religion in several ways. I love spending time with my children and grandchildren and teaching them through example the importance of have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, my Savior. I appreciate the importance the Mormon church place on families and happiness. I am a local leader in the church enjoy serving others I enjoy teaching other about Christ and our Father in Heaven. I love serving as a part time missionary and teacher in our church. I also enjoy serving others and helping in God church. I visit with others who are seeking to learn more about our Savior's Love for all of us and want to learn more about how God wants to bless his children's lives. In recent years I have taught the youth about genealogy and family history. This provides them with the opportunities serve their ancestors and fulfill the blessings described in Malachi 4: 5-6. "... turn the heart of the children to their fathers...". Recently my wife and I received a calling from prophet Thomas S. Monson to serve as Family History Records Preservation missionaries in Maryland. We will have the opportunity to preserve import documents about our and others ancestors. I truly love the Savior and receive great joy in serving Him and His children.
