Hi I'm Tiffany Methot

I am a ballet loving, book reading, mother of one and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom of one. I enjoy dancing of any kind, but my favorite is ballet. I love to teach ballet, bake, and take care of my family. I also enjoy spending time with my friends, and serving others. I harbor a secret wish to be a movie star, and love everything to do with the theater/acting. I would also love to be a famous choreographer one day, although I do have a bad case of stage fright when it comes to acting. Dancing? Not so much. I danced ballet for thirteen years, and have done about every other type of dance imaginable. Jazz, hip-hop, modern, contemporary, african, flamenco, and lyrical to name a few. One thing I never got to try that I regret now is tap dancing. I would love to be a tap dancer. I love anything and everything sweet! My sweet tooth is my downfall. Blue Bell ice-cream is my favorite food. I am a Harry Potter fanatic. I have the entire series of books several times, and own all the movies, which I have seen many times. I am a blogger, and reader.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the church is true. Plain and simple. I am reminded of a quote by Joseph Smith the prophet which goes, "...I knew it, I knew that God knew it, and I could not deny it..." I can not deny it. I have been a member all my life, but that doesn't mean that I haven't had my share of doubts, or that I have been spoon fed everything that I believe. I have had to learn truths and decide for myself if this church was the place for me. My testimony is growing on a daily basis, as I am strengthened by the Lord. I know that my Savior lives, and that He died for me on the cross. I know that he paid the price for my sins, in the Garden of Gethsemane. I also know that there is no other place I would rather be! There is so much love in this church, and so many amazing people, that I can't help but feel God's love for me. This church has been such a strength, and joy to me in my life, and I am better off for it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by example. I have never been one to go out and preach necessarily, but I try to be an example of the believers. It has been said that we who are Mormons, will be considered a "peculiar" people. I enjoy being peculiar! I also have the wonderful opportunity to work with the eight to eleven year old girls in my congregation. We get together every first and third Tuesday of the month, and discuss scriptures and spiritual topics, as well as having a little fun while we do it. I have had the opportunity in the past to work with other children in the church, and that is where teaching by example becomes so important. No one picks up on the little things you do like those little sweet spirits. I try to live my faith by striving to help those in need around me. When a friend is in need of help, I try to my best to be there and serve, to the best of my abilities. I also live my faith by attending weekly church meetings, and participating in the weekly/monthly church events.
