Hi I'm Glen

I'm from Southern California. I'm currently serving a mission! I'm so grateful for the gospel in my life. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm from Southern California. I was born and raised there. I have an awesome family, and to put it simply, I love life! Life consists of so many wonderful things, and I'm so grateful to be alive. The Savior, sports, work, family, and friends have played major roles in my life. I enjoy being active, and for me life would be so meaningless without physical activities, my family and friends. I graduated from high school and I went to one semester of college. As a 21 year old, I am currently serving as a full time missionary for the church. I am serving in the Paraguay Asunción North Mission, and I love this experience! It's helping me become such a better man, and I'm learning more about myself and others, what my priorities are, and I'm learning to take advantage of every moment, and only spend my time in the things that matter most! If you wanna be happy, you've just gotta go to work, forget about yourself, and serve others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am second generation, and I was born and raised in the church. I always knew deep down that the church was true, but I wasn't always completely committed. However, this all changed when I was 12. During that time, I had an experience that I will never forget. I vividly remember it. I had just finished the Book of Mormon for the night, and the promise of Moroni (chapter 10:3-5) was fresh in me. Those verses hit me with great power, and for truly the first time in my life, I had a true desire and yearning to know for myself the truth. I wanted to know whether the Book of Mormon, the Church, and everything else were true. I wanted to know what path I should take in life. So, like everyone who wants to know truth, I decided that I would pray. That night when I was in my room, I re-read the promise, and I acted by praying. While praying, I felt good, and as I finished that prayer, something happened. Indescribable feelings of peace, joy, security, and happiness rushed upon me. That's when I received an undenaible confirmation that this was the truth. I had received my witness, and it quickly consumed my entire being. After this experience, I was sure beyond any possible doubt that God lives, Jesus Christ is our Savior, through the Atonement and repentence we can all become clean and live with God again, the Church is true, God really does love us, and the Book of Mormon is the the word of God. For all my life I will be strong because I choose to be strong! As time has continued on, my testimony has only strengthened. This knowledge has pulled me through very hard times, and I have seen countless numbers of miracles occur in my life. There have been times that I thought I couldn't carry on, but that's when I discovered even moreso that I God is ALWAYS there for us! Our Heavenly Father does live, and even on the hardest of days, His hand can be seen in our lives. The Savior lives. I know He lives. There is no doubt, and I am His witness!

How I live my faith

My life has been full of activity and service in the community and church. I am Eagle Scout, I've been involved in many service projects and organizations, and I've held many church callings. I'm so grateful that I decided to serve a mission because this has been the greatest choice that I've ever made in my life. I'm so grateful for this opportunity to serve God and my fellow men. Honestly, I could be doing nothing better with my life right now, and this experience is helping me become the best that I can be. While almost all my peers are unsure about life, I know the answer. While others are wasting their time, I'm helping to make the wolrd a better place. By being the greatest that I can, and by living high standards, beliefs, and morals I am improving the lives of others as well as my own. I have seen so many miracles and tender blessings from the Lord in my life, and I will be eternally grateful to Him. It's impossible for me to put that into words. Life is full of wonderful things, and in the end you can only be as strong as you choose to be, and I choose to be strong and faithful to the Lord. This is how I live my faith!

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Glen
As I have read, pondered, and prayed about the truth and the scriptures, I have come to know my Father in heaven and Savior. My life has been improved 100% because of it, and I know where I'm going in life. Even the hardest times are possible to overcome with the Lord. Through it, I have found out for myself that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, there is a living prophet, we are blessed when we keep the commandments, and God loves us. Show more Show less
