Hi I'm Carla Condie

I grew up in Cedar City Utah. I did Gymnastics from age 5-18 when I graduated and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying Elementary education. I got married to my husband on March 12, 2012. I did gymnastics for almost my whole life and I loved every minute. Unfortunately, I hurt my back and had to quit once I finished my competition season my senior year of high school. I have also taken ballet, Jazz, and Hip-Hop classes and love them. My newest hobbies are Raquette Ball and Sewing.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was growing up I went to church probably twice a year. I got baptized when I was eight but I didn't know much about the church nor did I go very often. I started to become more interested as my life went on. Particularly when I found out Santa wasn't real in 5th grade. I wanted to know if Jesus was real. Well when I got into High school I enrolled in Seminary. I couldn't believe all the wonderful things that I was learning. I was like a sponge, I just absorbed it all. then My senior year, I landed on my neck on Vault in gymnastics. My boyfriend was a very active member. When I arrived at the hospital he asked me if his dad could give me a Priesthood blessing and I accepted. In the blessing he told me that I would be healed by my faith. After the blessing I prayed earnestly. There was a miracle that occurred that night. There was no doubt in my mind that this was the true church of Jesus Christ. I found out that night Just how much my father in heaven and his son cared about me. From then on I have been an active member, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

How I live my faith

When I got married, Me and my husband got married in the St. George LDS Temple. Currently, we have been called of God to be temple preparation teachers. We are also Youth Conference directors for our stake. Every morning I get up and pray. Some days I listen to talks from general conference. Those talks are all amazing. At night before I get into bed I pray again and I try to pray at meals as well. Since I am a college student I have noticed a big difference in my testing scores if I pray for help to retain all that I have learned before I take tests. I love being a member of the true and living church.
