Hi I'm Landon Towers

I have been called to the Boise Idaho Mission, and I will be serving there until August of 2018.

About Me

I am 18 years old, and have just left my home of Gainesville, FL to Boise, Idaho to serve a full time mission. Back at home, I did well in school, taking mostly AP classes and career oriented electives. One of these such electives was the Academy of Entrepreneurship, in which I participated in for 4 years, with my last year as President. I was able to outreach to a lot of very important community individuals such as our Chamber of Commerce and mayor and several internationally known companies such as Corduroy's Beanbags. I also participated in DECA, in which I qualified for and competed at the international level for my last 2 years of high school. In short, I love business, and it was a great resource of learning for me as I head out into the real world independently. One of my other passions is technology. I took college computer science classes and spent much of my free time researching advancements in science and technology in order to pursue this passion. In fact, AP computer science was my favorite class of my high school career. I love how I can utilize several different strategies to implement the same exact concept, and the sense of satisfaction I get from solving a particularly hard algorithm. When I come home, I will be enrolling at BYU for at least my first two years. After I have a strong foundation, I may transfer to a more business-oriented school such as the University of Chicago. I am excited for my future and life in general!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but I had the choice to leave at any time. Because of the truthfulness of the gospel and the diligence of my parents' teachings, I have come to my own understanding that the gospel is true. I have countless experiences of personal conversion to individual parts of the Gospel that have come together to create a powerful personal testimony.

How I live my faith

I have decided to serve a full time mission and dedicate my life 24/7 to my faith. I have left everything behind, along with the 80k or so other LDS missionaries out in the world right now. I have a firm knowledge of the truthfulness of the Gospel and can't imagine any other path for me. I absolutely love sharing these truths, and would love to help anyone to answer questions of their own.
