Hi I'm Megan

I'm a country music loving, horseback riding, ambulance dispatching Mormon.

About Me

I am a multifaceted gal. I am have been married to the love of my life for three years and love it! I work as a dispatcher for a private ambulance company with aspirations of becoming a 911 Operator. When I'm not at work I play with horses and kids at a therapeutic horseback riding center for disabled children. I love seeing the kids' faces light up when they climb aboard their noble steed! I love to snowboard and SCUBA dive and I'm a member of a choral organization consisting of about 500 participants ranging from 4 year olds to well-seasoned adults. When I have a moment of down time in my life, I love to snuggle up with my husband and watch movies with our cat keeping watch.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it's right. I love the gospel. I love how it's "like an onion." There are so many layers that I feel that I am always learning something new even though I grew up in the church. I am a very logical thinker, with fanciful tendencies, and so the story of the Restoration makes sense to me. God talked to prophets in the Bible, why wouldn't he talk to prophets now? I know that the Atonement happened. I know that Christ is my Savior and Redeemer and it is through Him that I will return to my Father in Heaven again.

How I live my faith

I love to serve! Even when I was a teenager, I loved to volunteer with my youth group for service projects. I have helped clear overgrown cemeteries, package food for less fortunate, and landscape a local zoo parking lot. Most recently I have been volunteering with horses and helping disabled kids get stronger through horseback riding. I love seeing the kids grow and improve and when they show off new skills to friends and family, I think to myself, "I helped him learn that!" That's the best feeling in the world.
