Hi I'm Sophia

I was born in the state of Missouri, and was raised in a "single parent home",and have a testemony of family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read, write, cook , clean.. I guess you could just say that I am a femine, and average Young Woman. My mother is Heather Roerdanz and I live in Missouri with her. My Father is Mark Roerdanz and he lives in Ohio, I do visit him on occaision and speak with him fairly frequently on the phone. My parents seperated when I was seven years old, and devorced when I was nine years old. I have three siblings Julia, Austin, and Helen. We lost a younger bother William, but still count him as family. I plan on graduating from High School 2013 and attending BYUI to study Family and Consumer Sciences, to better home an family life and help others to avoid devorce.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member if the church because I know the teaching of Christ to be true. I have seen trials and know that I got through them because of Christ. I know that God lives and knows me personally because of my trails, study, and prayer. I continue to feel the love of the Savior and the sprirt of truth that testifies of him.

How I live my faith

I dress modestly to show respect for baptism covenants I have made, I work on Young Womens Personal Progress ,read and study my scriptures, and pray to my father to "know the truth of all things".

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Our Father in Heaven loves his daughters just as much as his sons, and desires them to have every chance at feeling joy, to have the same educational training, and the same amount of respect from others spiritually, physically, mentally ex. It is not the interest of our father in heaven to have one gender over another. Men are to preside in the home and council with their wives in all the dealings of home and family. To preside means that worthy men (holding the priesthood) use spiritual intuition to come to a mutual agreement as to how things should go. Women are given every spiritual gift and opportunity as the men, however they are not "priesthood holders". Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Growing up in the Church I can say that if a person is really a faithful member and loves the Savior Jesus Chirst and knows him personally will try to portay the him in every part of their life.In those members homes you'll usually see pictures of the temple(s), and the Savior, aswell as family photos and inspirational quotes. We try to be joyful about life. We love our families, and parents teach childern to love the Savoir, and to keep the covanants, commandments, and to love one another as the savoir loves us.
