Hi I'm David J

I grew up in the cultural melting pot of Toronto, Canada. I'm a dreamer. I write fiction. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work in marketing for a company that makes everyday household products. I love to spend time with my wife and daughters in the outdoors, walking, climbing, and exploring. Right now I'm finishing my first novel that emphasizes the interconnectedness of all living things.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for two reasons: (1) the Holy Ghost has confirmed to my heart and mind that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Jesus Christ's church on the earth today; and (2) I have learned by my own experience that living the restored gospel brings true happiness and peace.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my hardest to live all the commandments of God. And when I fall short I repent and try not to repeat the same mistake. I pray daily and read the holy scriptures by myself and with my family. I also serve in my local congregation. Recently I served for several years as the Bishop, or clergy, for our congregation. It was a very demanding role and a very wonderful role. I learned that Jesus loves all of His Father's children. As I tried to see them as He sees them, my love and compassion for them increased dramatically. I know if we all truly treated each other as Jesus would, the world would be instantly transformed into a heaven on earth. I love my Saviour with all my heart.
