Hi I'm Brittany

I'm from California. I served a mission in Fort Worth, Texas. I love the outdoors and trying new things. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I come from a family of 4 kids. My parents are the people I really look up to and who have influenced who I am today. I attend Brigham Young University in Idaho. I study Recreation Management. I really love the outdoors and going rock climbing, backpacking, camping, snowboarding, rafting and just about anything else you can think of in the outdoors. I love to laugh and have a good time. Being serious all the time just isn't fun. I am grateful for the Church and the person I have become because of knowing who I am and who Jesus Christ is.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a strong testimony of the truthfulness of this church and the gospel we teach. I know it is true. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that He lives! We have been blessed with continuous guidance through prophets today and that they receive revelation to help us live righteous lives. Without this knowledge, I would be lost. The Lord has given us a way to return to live with Him again. We are entitled to the blessings we can receive if we endure this life and stay faithful to His gospel. The only way that we can know of spiritual truth is if we simply ask God. That's exactly what I did, I asked God to know if this is true and that this is His church. The answer I received is why I am serving a mission. This is the true church! The Book of Mormon answers the questions that we all have in life and I know it to be the word of God. I am grateful to know that God always answers our prayers and that He has answered mine.

How I live my faith

I live the gospel of Jesus Christ the best that I can to be an example for others. When we serve others we truly are serving our God. Charity is something that I am always striving to develop. As I live my life in closer harmony with the Savior and His teachings, I can help others feel the same peace and joy that I feel.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We consider the Bible to be the word of God. We understand the life and ministry of the Savior through the Bible. When we read from the Book of Mormon and the Bible, we know the gospel of Jesus Christ in complete form, meaning that the Book of Mormon and the Bible serve as two witnesses of the Savior and the doctrine He set.
