Hi I'm Stephen

I love music. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Utah. I grew up with music as a huge part of my life. I was in Band and Choir throughout Junior high and High school. There is such power in music. I love it. From singing, to playing piano, to even dancing to music. One of my mottos in life is "Life is better to a beat." My family has played an even bigger part in my life than music has. We would set apart one evening each week and play games, eat treats, and grow closer as a family. The bonds that we have are timeless. The memories we've made are precious and I wouldn't trade anything them for the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church. I always went with my family to church and actively participated in various classes and activities. Though sometimes I wondered, "Is this really true? My parents say it is. My friends say that it's true. I believe it is, but do I really know?" Often, I would pray and ask Heavenly Father because it says in the scriptures "Ask and ye shall receive." I knew God could answer my prayers, but I also knew that there were changes that needed to be made in my life to bring it in closer harmony with His will. I struggled, but through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and with His help, His love, His mercy, and only with His help, love and mercy, as well as unfailing support from my parents and local leaders, I was able to change my life and experience a "mighty change of heart" that is talked about in the scriptures. God answered my prayers and continues to answer my prayers. I rely on Him for everything. I'm a Mormon because I love my family and want to be with them forever. Through the Prophet Joseph Smith, God restored His Church and the sealing power needed to bind families for eternity. I know that the Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. But more importantly, He is MY Savior. I know it.

How I live my faith

I serve the Lord. I've done that in various ways throughout my life. I've served as a leader to fellow young men, and I've taught a class of 4 & 6 year old's about Jesus Christ. (I prefer to teach the children.) Right now, I am serving as a missionary, sharing what has changed my life: The Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I feel there's no better way to show my gratitude to God than to serve His children, my brothers and sisters, and obey His commandments. I also share the talents the Lord has given me. I'm not the best musician, but I love the feeling and peace that comes from uplifting music.
