Hi I'm Ovidio

I'm from New Jersey, and in case the Mormon.org profile didn't give it away, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love laughing and eating. I love watching movies, listening to music, and having really funny and sarcastic conversations. I'm really into comedies and stand up comedy. My favorite comedians are Louis C.K., Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, and many others. I also like anything that has to do with Will Ferrell and Jim Carrey. Everything except "Number 23" and "Dumb and Dumber 2." Those movies were just horrible. My favorite bands are Muse, The Strokes, Queen, Avenged Sevenfold, The Cure, and I also really like Daft Punk, The Weeknd, and Ellie Goulding. I absolutely love meeting new people, so look me up on facebook if you're ever in the mood to chat with a total stranger. Personally, I think it's really fun. Just look me up after January of 2018 because that's when I come home from serving a mission. I plan on going to college and becoming an accountant. Either an accountant or a Power Ranger. I still have some soul searching to do. I also loved children, but then I worked in a day care center for a month and completely changed my mind. I'm still willing to be a dad, though. That way, I'll have people who are morally obligated to talk to me when I'm on my deathbed, but yeah that's me in a nutshell.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this is the only church that promises an eternal family. I'm not Peter Griffin, but I'm a family guy. Family is super important to me. Without the goal of an eternal family, I would just be wandering aimlessly in this plane, waiting for the journey to end. I've become a better man because of this beautiful and sacred promise, and when my testimony of the restoration, or my testimony of any other truth is questioned and starting to weaken, my dream for being with my mom, dad, and little brother forever will give me the strength and the resolve to do as the Savior expects me to do. I've given my all, and I plan on giving more to be able to be worthy of such a blessing.

How I live my faith

I try my hardest everyday to do like The Savior. I still can't walk on water or raise people from the dead, but I always try! That's why I was banned from my town's swimming pool and cemetery. I still can't grow a beard, though, and I'm actually going bald. I was and still am a huge Spongebob fan, so I tried my hardest to live like Larry. That lobster knows what he's doing. However, as I got older, I realized that I wasn't created in the image of a lobster. I don't have big meaty claws nor do I have an exoskeleton. It is not my destiny to be a delicious crustacean. I realized who I was supposed to be and in whose image I was created, and because I came to such a realization, I stopped living like Larry and started living like Jesus. It's not easy, but it's not impossible.
