Hi I'm Alexandra

I love sunshine and the sound of my sweet baby boy laughing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love finding beauty in the world around me, which is probably why I love photography so much. There is so much beauty that could easily be overlooked if we simply don't take the time to notice it, and I love being able to capture some of that beauty through the lens of my camera. My husband and I just had our first baby, and it has made the world an even more beautiful place in my eyes. Watching our son discover his hands or hearing him laugh for the first time is so simple, yet it brings me such joy. I love being a wife and mother, and I am so grateful that I have each day to treasure the things that truly matter most. It really is true that the best things in life aren't things!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the love and peace that it brings into every aspect of my life. Being a Mormon has made me a better wife, a better mother, a better sister, and a better friend. It has brought me comfort during times of trouble, and an overwhelming feeling that I am not alone in this world because a loving Father in Heaven is watching over me. He is very aware of us as His children and wants us to succeed, so He has blessed us with a prophet to lead and guide us on the Earth today. I love knowing where I came from, why I am here and where I am going, because it gives me so much power and guidance in an ever-changing world. I am so grateful for the knowledge that I can be with my family forever, even beyond this life; they truly mean everything to me and I can’t imagine life without them. I know that as I follow the teachings of my Savior, Jesus Christ, I will grow closer to Him and become all that He wants me to be. I am a Mormon because I have felt deep within my heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Lord’s church once again restored to the Earth and that knowledge has brought me so much joy that I cannot deny it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching a youth group on Sundays with my husband. We study the scriptures which include the Old Testament, New Testament, and the Book of Mormon. We want our kids to understand these books so that they can draw closer to their Heavenly Father and feel of His love for them. It is wonderful to see what an influence for good the Gospel is in their lives and how much they grow from studying the scriptures each week. One of the things I love about the youth programs is that they get to be with other children who share their beliefs and it strengthens them so much and helps them realize that they are not alone. I am a Visiting Teacher, which means that I am assigned to watch over a few women that belong to our church. I get to visit them each month in their homes and share a special message that I feel will bless them that month. I am so grateful that I get to be a part of the lives of so many wonderful people, for I am truly the one that is blessed in my service.
