Hi I'm Ruth.

I'm a wife and a mom of 3 little ones. I am happy and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a full time mom, with a part time photography business on the side. I enjoy making things and decorating and making my house feel like a home. I also love being with my family and extended family, and think of all 8 of my nieces and nephews as my other babies!

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to this church because of the peace and happiness the true and restored gospel of Jesus Christ brings in my life. Things are not always easy, but I know that if I try my best to do the things that I ought to do, that everything will work out. I know that trials and tests are placed on us to help refine and polish us, and help us to become our best selves. I also know that the commandments we are given are not to burden us or hold us back, but are there to help us live up to our full potential and keep us safe from unwanted consequences. It is a great comfort to know that I can always be with my family. The temple is a beautiful place where it is possible for husbands and wives and families to become forever families and can be together even when this life on earth is over. I love the Book of Mormon, and know that it was written by real prophets of God. I love the way I feel when I study the scriptures and as I strive to develop a relationship with my Savior and with God.

How I live my faith

I am an instructor to the women and visit several other women that go to my church on a monthly basis. In the past I have also taught the little children. Doing these things aren't always easy or comfortable for me, but I know that these callings were meant for me. Through them, I have become closer to God. I try my best to study my scriptures every day, pray often and teach my family the things that I know are true.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

I have many wonderful Mormon women in my life. They are great examples as they are hardworking, kind and make sacrifices for their family and others around them. Equality is very important in a marriage, and a husband and wife should do their best to help each other as equal partners. Show more Show less
