Hi I'm Devon

I like computers and fairy tales. I'm an aspiring game designer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest of four boys. I've lived on Air Force bases in Texas, Alaska, and Las Vegas. I was homeschooled for several years, and then I went to public charter high schools in Utah, and now I'm a computer science student at Weber State University. In my spare time I like to write stories, play the piano, play video games, watch anime, and write software. My ultimate career dream is to assemble a team of video game designers and run my own company. I am currently serving in the Japan Tokyo South mission, Oct. 2013 -- Oct. 2015.

Why I am a Mormon

I've learned about many, many different philosophies and beliefs and the people who hold them. I've seen so much anger and fighting in the world, and so many promises of [fleeting] pleasure. Being a member of this church, learning the gospel and living the principles, has brought me more happiness than I've found anywhere else. It's given me peace in a crazy and confused world. It's helped me push through and glean extra value from the most difficult times of my life. I know that this is where the full truth is found.

How I live my faith

Every day, I read from the scriptures and I pray. I try to use my talents to make people smile, to bring some joy to their lives. Sometimes I teach a lesson in Sunday School, and sometimes I provide music for Church events during the week.
