Hi I'm Allison

I grew up mostly in California. Now I'm a mom of three in Texas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to by best friend for almost 15 years and we have three beautiful children. I love music and when I have time like to share my talent of playing flute with others. I also enjoy baking, cooking and gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

I converted to the gospel almost 20 years ago and it has been such a huge blessing to me in my life. I was in college and feeling very lost in life. I was given the Book of Mormon to read and I remember feeling the sense of peace coming over me while I started to read. I suddenly became sensitive to those things around me that didn't uplift me. I knew what I was reading was true and that it was the answer to what I was missing in my life. The gospel answered the most basic of questions, such as where I was from, why I was here and where I was going. I know that I am a daughter of God. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and is mindful of me and of my needs. I know that Jesus Christ lives and is my Savior and has made it possible for me to return to live with my Father in Heaven! I am so grateful for the gospel and the many aspects of the church that help me to develop my testimony and the testimonies of my children so that we might be disciples of Christ here on earth.

How I live my faith

Right now at church, I have the distinct blessing to work with the children and teach them songs about the gospel. They are sweet spirits and singing every Sunday wtih them is a wonderful opportunity. I also help with the youth girls right now while we are planning our summer camp. They are a beautiful and courages group of girls that teach me as much as I teach them. We recently went to the area food bank and helped sort food for a school backpack program. It was a wonderful time! I also try every month to make visits to some of the women in the church. I enjoy visiting with them and sharing and conversing about the gospel and scriptures with them.
