Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in Spokane,WA. I served as a missionary in the Dominican Republic and saw the lives of other people change.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm going to college right now and I'm still unsure what I want to do with my life. I know that I enjoy movies and video games more than the average person. I wish I could take my ability of remembering lines and scenes from movies to something academic to help me in a lucrative field. I like running and love playing Ultimate Frisbee. Apart from that, I like being around people I like being around and who like being around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I have received a testimony that the Book of Mormon is true. I've remained a Mormon because God still continues to hear my prayers and let me know with his tender mercies that he cares. I know that anyone wanting to know what I know only needs to give time to faith, prayer, and reading the Book of Mormon. It's by this model that I've come to know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and that the Bible is the word of God.

How I live my faith

I try my best to be worthy of the promise I made when I became a member of this church. But it's no easy task to follow the example of the Savior and not be selfish at times. I'm grateful to always have friends in all the wards I may live in. It's true I get overlooked sometimes, but if you get out of your personal shell and be nice and talkative to the people around you as the meetings go by, you make friends quick enough. It takes awhile though. I do like how we have home teaching. Where everyone is assigned two "teachers". They are more like friends to check up on you. I like being one myself and seeing how others are coping with the same problems I am.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Jacob
Families enrich our lives and can be one of the greatest sources of happiness. Although many families, mine included, aren't ideal and perfectly happy, we can find happiness and improve any situation as long as we work together and strive to put God first in our lives. Show more Show less
