Hi I'm Lisa Chandler

I am a soccer and a lacrosse mom. I am the wife of an avid volleyball player. I love to create and design. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married for 17 years to my best friend. After five years of wanting a child, we were blessed to have a birth mother ask us to adopt her baby. Five months later our son was placed in our arms. I love being a mother and I cherish everyday of it. Just when we thought life couldn't get any better, we were selected to be the adoptive parents of a beautiful baby girl. The journey to get our children felt long, but it was well worth it. I'm so glad that we gave up the life we planned to have the life that Heavenly Father has in store for us. To put my husband through school, I started a vinyl lettering business. What started as a small idea grew into a business that has grown and ships to many parts of the world. I love what I do as I love to create. I have a great husband, two beautiful children, a Heavenly Father that loves me, my life is oh so good!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm not a Mormon because my parents are. I'm not a Mormon because I live in Utah. I'm not a Mormon because someone told me it is the only true church here on earth. I AM a Mormon because I have knelt and prayed about the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have read the Book of Mormon several times and the spirit has witnessed to me of the truthfulness. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us so much that He wouldn't leave us here on the earth without Prophets to lead and guide us. I know the Book of Mormon is a true account of the people that lived in the Americas. I know that families can be together forever through the sealing ordinance that is done in the House of the Lord through Priesthood Power. My beautiful children and my amazing husband will be with me through the eternities if we live up to the covenants that we made. I know that my Savior Jesus Christ has atoned for our sins and our sorrows. Through the atonement we can all be healed. I love my Savior very much, and I strive daily to live a life like His.

How I live my faith

I love to work with the youth of the church. For over 10 years I have been called to be a leader to the 12-18 year old young women. I love the youth of the church! They have so much good in them and such strong desires to do good. Life is hard, they are surrounded by evil. It is so important that they recognize the adversary's attempt through the media, schools, and friends to forget that they are daughters of a Heavenly Father who loves them. Recently I was called to teach the younger children through music. Music can be such a strong influence for good and evil. We need to surround our children with good, uplifting music that will invite the Holy Ghost to always be with us to guide us.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

Lisa Chandler
The Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead, but is a separate being. The three members of the Godhead are God the Father and Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost does not have a body, but is a spirit. The Holy Ghost is there to lead, guide, and comfort us. Show more Show less
