Hi I'm Susan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I loved being a mother, I have 3 children, all adults now. I have found great benefits to regular exercise, along with that I like to keep busy, decorating, gardening, reading, and doing crafts.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a child I regularly had a dream of my Father dying, in the dream I would jump on top of the casket so I would not be separated from him. As a teenager, I still had this dream, just not as often. I attended many churches looking for some kind of answer. One of the first things I learnt upon investigating the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was that we can be together again as families. I was then taught the Plan of Salvation, who I am, where I came from, where I am here and I can, through obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel return to live with my Heavenly Father along with my family members who also have accepted and lived the gospel of Jesus Christ. I accepted baptism and from then on, never had the dream again!

How I live my faith

I have particaped in the church ever since baptism, which was in Canberra, Australia when I was just 16. I love Sunday, attending church meetings with the other members who strengthen, help and teach me, and help me improve upon the time I have on this earth. At present I teach in the Women's organization of the church. Previous to that I taught seminary to high school students, before school started, at 6:15 AM. They came to learn about our Savior, sacrificing sleep and other activitities. They were wonderful, and I just grew to love them. I have learnt and grown in many ways by serving in the church and others.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Susan
We believe that God is Omnificent, all powerful, all wise. That he is perfect, that He has an immortal body of flesh and bones, that He is control of the universe. But at the same time He loves each and everyone of His children, and will do everything in His power to help us return to live with Him. Although He is God, He is also our Father in Heaven, and as such is approachable and will listen to our prayers, and in his own time give us answers to those prayers. Show more Show less
