Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a school teacher. I love music. I'm a young single woman who is passionate about teaching. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from college 2 years ago. Currently I work as a Junior High choir teacher and I love it!!!! I've thought about going back to school to get my master's in teacher. Teaching and education are really important to me. I also love music--performing, dance, and piano. And I love being outdoors. I love to rock climb, swim, SCUBA dive, and hike.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was about 14, I went to a girls camp. While there I was given a little bit of time to go into the woods and think and pray for myself. It was there while I prayed that I really felt the presence of God in my life. Since that day, I've really been able to feel God's love for me when I pray. When I pray and asked questions, I have had feelings or impressions so I know my prayers were answered. Still to this day as I pray, I can feel God's love and I still feel Him lead me in choices I make. When I pray sincerely, I feel the happiest and the most loved. I also have read the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and from the words I read, I know the stories told there are true.

How I live my faith

In my neighborhood, I am the leader of the women in my area. I live in a college town, and love working with a bunch of girls who are my same age, and have the same struggles I have. We are all trying to do well in school or work, and we are all trying to date, and we are away from our families starting our own lives and habits. I am in charge of making sure 80 girls are taken care of with anything they need like having enough money and food, but also that they are feeling uplifted by having God in their life. I have loved to serve the girls who live in the apartments by me and let them know that someone cares and loves them. We have a set up system where different girls visit each other and make sure everybody is doing well. Each girl is assigned to visit 2 other girls each month. Those visits are then reported to me. It's nice because then I know each girl is being watched over, and hopefully each girl has a friend who lives close by them and loves them.
