Hi I'm Jenna

I'm a Mormon. I grew up on Long Island in New York. I first learned about our church while I was going to college.

About Me

I am a mother of two children. I design websites and enjoy photography. I also like to run. Living in Washington allows me to live near my parents so my kids can know their grandparents. We love to explore outside and often take day trips to check out this fantastic place we live.

Why I am a Mormon

I was facing some health issues and began asking myself if I was prepared to meet God? I was certain that I needed to learn more before I died. When I came to our church all of my questions were answered. I learned about families being eternal. This gave me great comfort as it was one of my greatest fears. Every time I would leave family members I feared that I might not see them again. When I was about 7 years old both of my grandfathers died about a month apart. This frightened me terribly. My mom got cancer about a year later and I thought she might die as well. She didn't die, but a deep fear of losing people I loved grew within me. Learning that I was a daughter of Heavenly parents that wanted me to return to be with them as well as my earthly family has given me great courage and strength. I still find life scary often but when I think about eternity knowing that Heavenly Father wants me to return safely with my family I am comforted. I can't imagine now that I am a mother myself, not having this peace of mind that knowing about thew gospel gives me. Since, I have joined the church I have grown in ways I know I would have never done on my own. The gospel gives me a direction and my life a purpose that it has never had before. By being apart of it I have learned how to love and serve others that I just frankly wouldn't have had the opportunity to do on my own. Although I have so much to learn still I feel that I am being led gently along to grow and become a better mother, wife, sister and friend. I couldn't imagine being a mother without all the blessings of the gospel. I have met so many amazing people who have such remarkable stories. Knowing that I was a daughter of Heavenly Parents and learning of what the Savior had sacrificed for each of us has given me a purpose and a direction I had been searching for my whole life.

How I live my faith

That is simple just live the gospel. By living the gospel I am able to serve others in the different callings that I have had over the years. I spent 10 years working with kids from ages 4-14. Working with children has allowed me the opportunity to serve and learn from the pure in heart. There is nothing so sweet as seeing a child sharing and caring about others. They have so much greatness. I really enjoyed working with them. They have taught me so much. Jesus said that we should be like little children. I can see why. They are so generous and do not judge. Now I am working with the women of our church and I am enjoying that as well. Here I am learning all kinds of skills that I never would have been exposed to. There are so many talented women that I get to be around and learn from.
