Hi I'm Stephanie

I am a loving wife, goofy mother, and a superstar daugther of God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah and grew up in Michigan. I graduated from college in Theatre. I love movies and stage make up. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because it gives me a chance to dress up and share my make up talent. I like to hang out with my family and friends. We love to camp, tell jokes, eat, sing, and watch movies. I have been married for 9 years and have a beautiful son.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church but everyone has a moment of truth when they decide what they want to believe. I have had countless experiences confirming that the gospel is true but there is one moment that will always stick out in my mind and heart. I was a teenager in Michigan and we had just moved from Utah where we were surrounded by Mormons. I went from being apart of 100 Mormons at school to being 1 of 3. Being among the minority made we question my faith and forced me to decide what I wanted to believe. I figured if I was going to share the gospel and stand up for it when people questioned my faith then I needed to believe it was true. Upon realizing this I decided to do what Joseph Smith read about doing from James in the Bible. That night I prayed about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I asked God if it was true and if the Book of Mormon was true and if God really knew who I was. After I prayed I sat there for a few minutes and I had a strong feeling of peace come over me. My body felt like someone was giving me a huge comforting hug. I knew it was the spirit confirming that the church is true. Since then I have had many more confirmations as I have tried to live the gospel. I am constantly learning and growing and through that process the spirit reaffirms my testimony.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church weekly and getting involved in various church activities. I help plan activities for the women of the church. We get together monthly to socialize and learn together. We try to do service activities too like volunteering our talents and time to a cause. One evening we made over a dozen quilts for a local hospital chemo treatment department. That same night we learned how to make fresh salsa. I am very social so I try to plan other outings and activities with friends some who are members and some who aren't.
