Hi I'm Chad Timothy
I am a missionary, an Aviation student, and I am a Mormon!
About Me
I am a missionary in the Colorado Denver north mission and am absolutely loving is. After my mission I plan to join the United States Army as an Airborne Infantryman and to join my brother in the service who is currently serving in the 10th Mountain Infantry Division based out of Ft. Drum New York. One of the things that draws me to the idea of serving in the United States Military is the fact that our family has had an ancestor fighting in every conflict this country has ever fought with the exception of the Spanish American war, Vietnam, and the Gulf War. I am very proud of this warrior heritage, and I desire to help that continue with that same fighting blood that runs through my veins. One of my greatest heroes comes from the Book of Mormon. There is a guy named Chief Captain Moroni, who was a military leader, and strategic genius. The principles of his conviction with which he fought inspire me. "In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children." He was not one who desired to be a man of blood, and only shed the blood of man for the protection of those he loves. The desire of mine to be a soldier comes not from a video game or desire to be known as a ferocious killer, rather to be of service and protection, but..... not going to lie.... I do think it'd be freaking awesome to get into some nice patrol gear, with a rifle strapped to my chest, and jump out of a perfectly good airplane into hostile territory. Anyway, thats me!
Why I am a Mormon
Im a Mormon because I believe, with every fiber of my being, that the teachings of His Church are true. Through reading the Book of Mormon, I have come to know for a surety that Christ lives, and that my Heavenly Father loves me and knows me personally. The programs and institutions that have been placed in this church are no doubt a gift from our Heavenly Father to provide us with a safe place, where worldly things are put aside, and we can all gather and feel the love for each other as the Savior loves us. I love the pride I feel to belong to such a great and loving church, its more than a church, its a family, a family that I can depend on when times are hard, and I know its only through my Heavenly Father, and my Savior, Jesus Christ that that feeling of peace and safety can come.
How I live my faith
I live my life in the sence that not only am I serving my Father in heaven, but day by day, I am an example of his church, so what I do, and what I say will influence what people think about my faith, and so, I try to keep that on my mind at all times. Besides, if I am a child of God, I would act as a Child of God would act.
