Hi I'm Vicki

I am Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mother and grandma. I love family, scripture study, arts and crafts.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Mormon teachings. The Book of Mormon is another testimony of Christ that for me, makes the teaching in the Holy Bible more complete and easier to understand. Doctrine and Covenants 88 is an awesome read to gain understanding of the celestial kingdom, terrestrial kingdom, the telestial kingdom. I really like how this chapter helps to clarify Gods will concerning us. Helps me to understand His plan and what I get to look forward to if I but choose to stay steadfast and continue to strive to obey His will. I am grateful for the opportunity to strive for the celestial Kingdom, to become all that I can be. So many factors in this life strive hard to determine who I am or what I am worth. I know that through my faith in Christ all things are possible and that my self worth and where I will fit in for time and all eternity is determined by my personal choices. I am blessed to be a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and to partake of the restored gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by appreciating and loving my family church members, studying the scriptures, praying, remembering that Heavenly Father desires a personal relationship with me and constantly strive to improve myself to return to him some day. I keep a visual image of him hugging me and saying to me job well done. That keeps me focused. It' s not about what is or isn't flowing good for this earthly moment but, the end results that mater.

What is faith?

Vicki
Faith is hope in things I can not see but know are true. I have faith that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that his blood was shed to save sinners such as me. That Jesus Christ loved me enough to die for me to make it possible for me to return to my Heavenly Father. I don't have to have a perfect scriptural knowledge or understanding of all there is to know. I just need to follow what was written for me in the The General Epistle of James (1:1-8) when he explained how to gain wisdom and answers to prayer. This is how I gain my testimony in things I can not see but know are true. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Vicki
A personal testimony for me is a spiritual witness I have been giving by the Holy Ghost. It is the core of my personal Mormon testimony. Threw this special witness I have gained a knowledge that my Heavenly Father lives and loves me as he loves us all; that Jesus Christ lives and that he carried out the infinite atonement. Threw this same spiritual witness I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet called of God to restore the Lords church on earth; that I am blessed to be led by a living prophet today; and that it is a privilege to belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because the Holy Ghost has born a witness within me that this church is the Savior's Church restored on the earth today.
