Hi I'm Caitlyn

I'm a musician. I'm a rugby player. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've recently finished my first year of University studying geology. I love to read, bike and enjoy nature. I play the piano and saxaphone. I play rugby and I absolutely love it. I am a daughter to my amazing mom and dad and a younger sister to a brother and sister. My family is awesome, but strange at the same time. We are doing something together all the time. We love to have a good laugh and inside jokes. I've always loved getting lost in a good book. I'm one of those people who can't stop reading until I know what happens next. I read all kinds of books. My favourite would have to be fantasy/fiction. I love when you can just escape the world for a bit and do the impossible. I get together with friends whenever possible. We mostly just play games, talk or play sports. Mostly though, I love to just relax.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in this church, it's all I've known. What I've noticed though is that I've never wished I wasn't a member. The gospel has brought me a lot of happiness in my short life. Whenever things are tough I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me. I'm very grateful for that knowledge. I continue to live the gospel because I know that it will bring me nothing but happiness. Through the gospel I'm drawing closer to my Saviour, Jesus Christ, and my Heavenly Father. The difference in my life and that of my peers is remarkable. The gospel has taught me to look at things in a positive way. This way of thinking has definitely impacted my life. It has given me a better outlook at life and the joy we can obtain from it. I'm very grateful for this gospel and I don't know where I'd be without it. I know that this is the restored gospel. The Book of Mormon truly is another testament of Jesus Christ. I have learned so much from it and it has brought me great comfort and encouragement in times of need. I have been blessed by having it with me always. I'm a Mormon because I have found nothing yet that brings me as much joy, peace and comfort in my life as this gospel does.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example of it to those around me. I was a leader in my youth group. I go to church every week. I participate in weekly institute (scripture study) classes. I live the standards of my church such as modesty, not partaking of harmful substances and watching wholesome movies. I believe that Sunday is the sabbath day (holy) and therefore I choose not to participate in sports activities on Sunday to keep it sacred. I try to look for opportunities to help others. I try to live a life that I, my family, my saviour and my Heavenly Father would be proud of.
