Hi I'm Andrée

I studied music, I am mother, a grandmother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a member of a good family. I was raised with 5 sisters and 4 brothers. My parents taught me good principles which helped me to stay on a good path most of the time. Even if I had a low vision, I received a rich education and I learned to play piano, cello, organ, read braille and sign in a choir. Actually, I'm a mother of 4 children and grandmother of 11 grand children. They are all precious to me and I want to be with all of them throughout eternity. I help one of my daughters who is responsible of a daycare. I'm happy to be a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I was not happy by what I was taught in my religion. I was expecting for more than what I was receiving. I was inactive and not interested to go to that church anymore. One day, I was introduced by a friend who was working with me to young missionaries of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints. I had never heard about that church before. I immediately felt their honesty and sincerity. They talked to me about the Savior and His Father in heaven who came to a young boy who was determined to find the true church. These missionaries invited me to pray and ask God if what they were saying was true. I did it. When they came back to my apartment a little later, they talked to me about a Plan of salvation. It means that we were in a spirit world before we came on this earth and we will return there at the end of this life to be prepared to live for all eternity with a resurrected body. I can't explain the feeling I had felt at that time but I could say that I was feeling peaceful and so happy. I had tears from my eyes and I could not deny it even if I could not understand every thing immediately. I continued to pray sincerely and received further teachings from these missionaries. I became a member of the church of Jesus Christ few months later in 1975 and I havé never regretted my choice. I love my Savior and His Father more then ever and I'm proud to be a Mormon. Because I'm Mormon, I enjoy to belong to the biggest society of women in the world. It gives me the opportunity to become a better mother, a good wife and develop my talents.

How I live my faith

Since I'm Mormon, I served many years as a music teacher for young children. I taught them many songs which guide them to understand the gospel and good principles they could apply in their lives. I'm actually music conductor for the group of women in my ward and it gives me the opportunity to apply my music knowledge. Few years ago, I was asked to organize the groups of visiting teachers. Each group of two women has to bring a message, love and support to the ladies to their home they are responsible for.. I really appreciate this calling because I saw many of them desirous to serve as Jesus did when He was on the earth In my community, I joined a choir of old people once a week and have had the opportunity to teach braille. I love to meet people who desirous to learn and share their talents and knowledge
