Hi I'm Jaimee

I'm a nursing student, wannabe cupcake decorator, devoted wife and future mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married, currently living in Gainesville, Florida, and was recently accepted into an accelerated BSN program at the University of Florida. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho in Exercise Physiology. I grew up in the luscious Washington state, and am quite partial to Evergreens and the smell of rain. I lived in two places my entire life, until I married my husband, in which case, I lived in 4 states last year alone. I love life; I love the smell of rain and pine-sol. I'm slightly OCD and like things organized and labeled (a manageable trait I acquired from my grandma). I enjoy exercise, an intriguing book, a competitive round of Catch Phrase, and a box of Funfetti cupcake mix.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I could not conceivably deny something I knew in my heart and without all doubt was perfectly true. I'm a Mormon because I believe in eternal families. I believe in the enabling power of grace and the ability to overcome trials. I'm a Mormon because I know I am a divine daughter of a loving Heavenly Father who is patient, kind, and loves me unconditionally. I know. I know that when I say a prayer vocally or within my heart-it is always heard and answered. I'm a Mormon because I know that I have divine potential, an infinite ability to do good in this world-and an expectation to try and do so.

How I live my faith

My husband and I are called as Sunbeam (3-4yr old) teachers in our local ward. We teach gospel principles in a simplistic manner to children. A few weeks back we taught, "I Am Thankful for Animals." I love my calling. I love being able to see the light of Christ in his little ones. What precious children we have the privilege to be around. They teach us so much more than we could possible imagine. I live my faith by trying to be an example to others. I don't swear. I don't smoke. And I don't drink. Since being married, I have committed to refraining from watching rated-R movies. I try to always possess an attitude of positivity and refrain from gossiping. My life has been blessed by the examples of those around me, so I have realized the impact an individual can have. I try my best to be an individual that others will recognize as someone who holds true to values.
