Hi I'm Dakota

I play real life Quidditch, I love music, I can't dance, I can do awesome Scissor-Kicks, I own a cardigan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up in the Mormon faith, I live in Centerville Utah! I am currently serving The Lord as a missionary in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission, and I’ve played Quidditch since 2010. I have been to New York to compete in the World Cup, and our team took 20th out of 90. I love music. From 2009-2012 I have been to over 130 concerts. I hope to grow up and become a music history professor, or a concert review-er. Despite popular belief, I am not cool. I like to Doodle. I'm not allowed to ride a bike, and although many have tried, none have proved that I am a little teapot, and when you tip me over I just fall over and nothing pours out.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of a three reasons. 1. I've felt the redeeming love that the savior has given to me. I've made a lot of mistakes, and I know that I can have that second chance because of the Atonement, I am just eternally grateful. 2. I have read the Book of Mormon, and I know that God has given me an answer personal to me (many times) that this church is his church again established preparatory to the second coming of Jesus Christ. 3. The teaching that I have been taught throughout my life have brought me closer to God than any other teaching that I have ever had. I can honestly say that through the His doctrine, and living his commandments, I have built a bond with God that I would never trade for the world. Knowing him, and knowing that I am literally his son brings so much peace, and so much joy into my life, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by just being myself, sharing that light that I have with others, by being a missionary, slipping Mormon.org cards into people’s grocery bags, car windows, pockets, etc. and just helping others feel the love of the savior has for every single one of us.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

The blessings that come from reading the Scriptures, and especially the Book of Mormon are unable to be put into words. I know for a fact that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God, and it will bless your life in more ways than you can think of. As long as you sincerely ponder it in, and pray with faith to know that it is true, the Lord will give you an answer, and that answer will be that this IS true. Show more Show less
