Hi I'm Ben

I'm a dad. I'm an entrepreneur. I'm a traveler. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband of 22 years and the father of three kids; two boys and a girl. I am an engineer by training and a businessman in practice. I enjoy watching and playing sports of all kinds, especially tennis. I have lived all around the US, in Europe and Asia, feeding my passion for travel and different cultures. I am in a life-long pursuit for authentic ethnic foods of all varieties. I love my family. I love God. And I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel the Spirit of God when I go to church. I feel the Spirit when I read the scriptures and pray to know they are true and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I am filled with joy when I think of all the good people I know at church, all striving to get closer to God through his Son. In the Mormon church, I have found a community of people doing their best to live the Gospel as taught by the Savior. I feel loved and supported, spiritually, emotionally, and physically by my fellow members. The other day, I didn't really want to go to church. I had some good excuses not to go. My sense of duty forced me out the door and to Sacrament Meeting, our weekly worship service. From the moment I stepped in the door, I felt the love of God and others there, like maybe never before. God was assuring me I was in the right place at the right time, confirming my faith in Him and His Son.

How I live my faith

I love people. One of my greatest joys is seeing and helping others recognize that God is their Father and loves them dearly, and that Jesus Christ is their elder brother and Savior. In the church, I help others learn those important truths by teaching Bible study classes. I also visit other families in their homes with a Christ-centered message, inquire about their needs, and seek to serve them, a program we call Home Teaching. I have found that the love I feel from God is best passed along through service. I also work actively in community outreach programs, serving alongside friends and neighbors as we strive to make our community a better place for all. My service ranges from supporting local food banks and charities to cleaning up and beautifying parks and other public spaces. I feel a great sense of pride in a job well done.
